HETAS has put together the 2010 training schedule and this will be updated as and when further dates and venues are added to accommodate increased demand.
HETAS Training course are aimed at updating candidates on safe, efficient and reliable appliance/system installation in accordance with Building Regulations. There are two types of course i.e. a 2 day dry appliance course and a 3 day wet appliance course (days 1 and 2 are common to both). These courses are aimed at installers, maintenance businesses, chimney sweeps (the 2 day course), specifiers, building control officers and inspectors and indeed anyone who needs to know about safe installation practices. Individuals who have already completed the two day course are entitled to take the third day separately to enhance their qualification.
Please note that these courses can be used when seeking HETAS registration but are not the only criteria for registration. There is always a requirement for registration applicants to have built up skills and experience in solid fuel installation prior to registration. Third Day top up from two or three day course £165.00 + vat
A Biomass Training Course and Assessment is under development as well as a Biomass “top up” course for those who have already undertaken the HETAS 3 day course.
