HEAD OF ENVIRONMENT

PERMANENT, FULL TIME 

HETAS has an opening for a Head of Environmental Development. This is a newly established role and therefore provides an excellent opportunity for growth and development as our business continues to expand into the wider market. This is a strategic and technical role, and the ideal candidate will possess a passion for environmental protection alongside the confidence to lead in the technical and scientific areas of associated environmental issues. This role will be based at our offices in Tewkesbury with opportunities to work from home when required.

Role

This role sits within our Senior Management team which will involve working closely with the Board of Directors. The primary function will be to lead on areas of work that have an environmental impact such as particulate emissions, carbon emissions and sustainability. The ability to communicate effectively and persuasively will be key as you will be liaising with key stakeholders, government departments, various partner organisations alongside staff and managers at all levels across the business. Key result areas and main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing and supporting the technical standards and product approval activities of HETAS.

Identifying pragmatic ways for the organisation to mitigate environmental impact through research, action and policies.

Influencing stakeholders to ensure an understanding of solid/biomass fuels and how they can be utilised whilst reducing environmental impact.

Establishing and maintaining relevant and up to date expertise respected and valued by others. 

Identifying new opportunities for HETAS and Woodsure, including tendering opportunities and the bid process where applicable. 

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

  • A degree in Science, Environment or Engineering or equivalent experience 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Persuasion and negotiation skills 
  • The ability to be pragmatic and view the bigger picture
  • An ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time sensitive information
  • Good time-management skills and an ability to prioritise workload
  • Excellent MS office skills
  • Experience of using a CRM system and other software for reporting, analysing data and and producing statistics 
  • Comfortable with producing and delivering management reports

QUALITY & SYSTEMS MANAGER 

PERMANENT, FULL TIME 

HETAS have an opening for a Quality & Systems Manager to join our friendly team on a full time, permanent basis. Based in our offices at Tewkesbury with an opportunity to work from home when required, this is a newly established role with plenty of opportunity for development. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow and evolve and now require some additional support with reporting and auditing on quality systems. The ideal candidate will possess a detailed knowledge of quality management systems and standards, alongside a good working knowledge of GDPR.

Role

This role sits within our Quality & Certification department, reporting into the Head of Quality & Certification. The primary function will be to co-ordinate, monitor, audit and report on quality systems including audit plans, document control processes and GDPR for HETAS and Woodsure. Liaising with Trade Associations and enforcement bodies alongside other agencies and our internal workforce, the ability communicate effectively and in a constructive and supportive manner is key to this role. Key result areas and main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining a set of quality standards and processes that are used to demonstrate that we meet or exceed the required performance levels. 

The co-ordination of the auditing plan necessary to maintain the quality management systems and control process requirements of HETAS. 

Provide management information on systems and processes. 

Document control (QMS, forms, processes, work instructions etc).

Compliance monitoring with scheme requirements.

Produce regular management review reports.

Create and develop new and existing quality processes.

  • Recent experience of working in a similar role within a busy and complex organisation

SALES EXECUTIVE

PERMANENT, FULL TIME 

HETAS have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive to join our friendly team.  This role will be primarily based at our office in Tewkesbury with the option to work from home when required. You will be joining our Business Development team at an exciting time of growth for the Business and there is plenty of opportunity for development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and driven, with a natural flair for sales and the ability to proactively identify new business opportunities. 

Role

This role sits within our Business Development and Marketing team, reporting to the Head of Communications but also working closely with the Sales and Services Team Leader.  The primary function is to deliver an effective Sales consultancy service to our clients and customers and to help grow the HETAS schemes. You will also be working on new campaigns and selling the benefits of HETAS and registration. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

Providing a Sales consultancy service to our clients and customers 

Identifying opportunities to grow and develop new scheme lines

Understand HETAS schemes and competencies required to ensure that you can provide accurate advice 

Effectively utilise database and MS office packages to support administrative processes effectively

Suggesting improvements to processes and schemes by collating and acting upon customer feedback

Working well as part of a team, supporting and encouraging others to meet team objectives

  • Previous experience of working in an office-based Sales environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A confident nature and a flair for sales
  • Good administration skills
  • A proactive approach and an ability to look at the ‘bigger picture’
