With over 1,000 approved products listed in the HETAS Guide and online, now is the time to have your appliances approved with HETAS.
The HETAS Guide is published annually and officially launches at the Ecobuild exhibition at the start of March. The HETAS Guide has expanded greatly in recent years and now includes a wide variety of approvals and listing, including:
- Stoves: wood, multi fuel
- Slow heat release appliances
- Room heaters/stoves with boilers
- Biomass heating
- Condensing biomass boilers
- Chimney systems
- Mineral Fuels
- Biomass Fuels in association with Woodsure
- Ventilation equipment
- Prefabricated insulated fireplace recess liners
- Link up systems
Most recently AMAC Engineering is one of the latest companies to get their products listed in the HETAS Guide, with their range of chimney inspection cameras. HETAS also approve around 75% of the biomass appliances listed on the MCS scheme.
HETAS product approval is based on a number of factors, including:
- CE Type Test Report
- Installation instructions
- Operating instructions
- Sales brochures
- Assembly drawings
- Details of Quality Management Systems
Summer is an excellent opportunity to gain product approval with HETAS in advance of the heating season. To aid applications, HETAS have introduced a real-time step-by-step online application process for manufacturers of appliances and products to use, for easier upload and submission of technical data, marketing literature and associated documentation.
