Due to expanding business and customer base Milborrow Chimney Sweeps are looking for another stove/fireplace installer to join their growing team. Milborrow are HETAS, Gas Safe and Safe Contactor Registered and hold two Royal Warrants. They have a growing customer database of customers and currently have 35 members of staff within offices and out on the road working around South East of England. The office/call centre is staffed daily from Pre 8am- Post 7pm to ensure an excellent and immediate customer service and support for operatives on the road.
Working alongside sister company Croydon Fireplaces who have a showroom of >110 appliances across 45+ brands they supply through Premier and Expert Retailer accounts with an onsite warehousing of >400 appliances in stock for immediate installation together with parts, spares etc as required.
Successful candidate requires; HETAS H003 & H006 training courses with on site experience. A professional, presentable appearance and a keen positive attitude when working with the general public. The ability to be self motivated, flexible, independent and happy to take and follow instructions. Applicants must be fit and healthy as manual work and working at heights is involved. A full driving license is required as a van (and equipment) will be provided. A Gas Safe Registration is a bonus in which further work will be available.

Biomass Product Manager – Docherty Group
Docherty Group is recruiting for an experienced Biomass Product Manager to join their team at an exciting time in the development of the company’s renewable appliances department, Adina Heating Products.
You will be responsible for defining the detailed product offering and technical standards as well as supporting sales of biomass appliances. This will include being the technical product expert, defining standard designs, specifying, quoting, responding to technical enquiries and training third party installers on how to sell and design biomass boiler installations.
Docherty Group is looking for candidates who speak Italian fluently and have a solid sales experience. Ideally based in the Midlands, the successful candidate must have a strong technical background with an extensive understanding of the biomass industry.

Trainee Technical Advisor
HETAS Limited are seeking a ‘Trainee Technical Advisor’ to join the team at their offices in Tewkesbury. An opportunity for further learning and development for anyone wishing to pursue a Technical career within the Heating Industry.
The main purpose of the position will be to answer enquiries surrounding the installation of Solid fuel and Biomass alongside other members of the HETAS registration and technical team on the HETAS Technical Helpline and accompany HETAS Inspectors on installation inspections
Full training will be provided to further enhance any of the below.
- Experience in Domestic Heating/Plumbing and Solid Fuel
- A relevant qualification (NVQ /City & Guild / EAL / HETAS/ Technical Certificate)
- Previous experience in Solid fuel and Biomass
- Knowledge of the Building Regulations
- Ability to learn quickly and develop an expertise in technical matters.
- Flexible attitude, proactive in supporting registrants and colleagues
- Effective communication skills with people at all levels
- Computer awareness and ability to search sources of information.
- Experience in using office software AutoCAD – InDesign
HETAS is the official body recognised by Government to approve biomass and solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services.

The successful candidates will be promoting the safe and effective use of solid fuels, biomass and related technologies and assessing competence of registered installer busineses in accordance with safety, regulation and applicable standards – including the requirements of HETAS registration.
Please be aware that it is not possible for an active installer to similtaneously perform duties as a HETAS inspector as this may lead to a conflict of interest.
If you are interested in working as a HETAS inspector you should be prepared to travel within a designated area and as such a UK driving license, a thorough knowledge of current standards, Building Regulations and insutry experience are an absolute must.
