Professional Social Media Images

There are now plenty of free image manipulation tools available to help you make professional photos, many directly through your web browser. Here are three of the most popular and intuitive options out there.

Pixlr – Lets you create professional images directly in your browser with a slick layout. Choose between a simple interface and more complex version for when you get more confident. Pixlr provides “canvas” sizes to get you started, including popular social media sizes. It also has access to free stock photos which you can use in your artworks. Pixlr includes a “snap” feature, allowing you to centre text or other aspects of your design with ease.

Fotor – Fotor is a great way for a beginner to produce incredibly professional results. Simple, intuitive controls including drag and drop features let you quickly create a beautiful image to post. Again, Fotor works directly in your web browser. You will be required to create an account to download or share your images on Social Media.

Adobe Spark – You’ve probably heard of Adobe Photoshop, but have you heard of the browser-based Adobe Spark? Spark is a simple way to produce both social media images and simple videos. Another incredibly easy program to use;  Adobe Spark provides step by step instructions to produce your first image! Choose from popular social image sizes and several free templates. You will be required to create an account to use Spark and the free version leaves an Adobe watermark.

If you like what these programmes have to offer, all three also have premium plans which include more features.

What about images?

Make use of your own images as much as possible, showcase your work or your showroom to prospective customers. Resources like www.pexels.com or www.unsplash.com are all free CC0 (Creative Commons) images and therefore available for any use, including commercial purposes.

Other providers like Shutterstock are currently offering  10 free images along with some COVID19 resources. Other stock image providers are also running offers right now, Photocase and iStock are just some examples.
