What can we help you with?

How can I check if my installer is HETAS Registered?

We would advise asking to see your Installers HETAS ID Card when gathering quotes to complete your installation. You can also check their business name or 4 digit HETAS Company ID under the Check Business tab on the Find Supplier map.

Our Consumer Support team are always happy to verify details of registrants with you directly.

Where can I get technical guidance on my planned installation?

Installations need to be completed in accordance with Building Regulations and the manufacturer’s instructions.

All of our HETAS Registered Installers have a wealth of experience and knowledge in installations, we would always recommend getting in touch with one of our local Installers to gain their expert opinion. They will be able to attend the site to perform a survey and make recommendations based on your specific situation.

All of our installers have access to a dedicated Technical Helpline should they require any support.

What happens after my installation has been completed?

Since April 2005, it has been a legal requirement to notify any solid fuel installations in England and Wales to the relevant Local Authority Building Control either via a Competent Person Scheme such as HETAS or directly to the council.

Once your installation has been completed, your HETAS Installer will then provide you with a Certificate of Compliance as well as fitting a Carbon Monoxide alarm and Notice Plate.
