On commissioning or re-commissioning of a solid fuel appliance, it is important to ensure the flue is operating sufficiently, and enough draw is in the flue to safely disperse the products of combustion into atmosphere. Solid fuel appliances with sufficient draw in the flue should not spill into the room in which they are installed, however in some cases due to insufficient ventilation or poor weather conditions may result in levels of spillage.
