We hope reopening has gone well for our approved retailers and manufacturers. We launched our retailer #getfiredup campaign in April to coincide with lockdown measures easing and thank you to everyone who got involved. We had a lot of engagement and it was great to see so many businesses sharing, liking, and commenting.

We know seeking advice in a retail store is an important step in the consumer journey. From helping them select a stove that is appropriate for their needs and their home. To advising on fuels and suitable service and maintenance routines.
Given the importance of retailers, we are keen to hear from you about the scheme. Whether it’s changes you’d like to see, what we’re doing right, how we can support you further, we want you to have your say. As an owner of a wood burner myself I need little excuse to light a fire. Like lots of people, my wife, kids, and Dexter (my dog) love relaxing in front of the fire and you may even spot them in some of our social media posts.
I am passionate about the industry, its challenges and am keen for it to be seen in a positive way. I try to be as knowledgeable and up to date about all matters relating to and what is happening within our industry. I totally appreciate the importance and value of the retailers’ position within the industry in providing information to consumers.
We are keen to ensure that retailers are given support from HETAS and are recognised for providing advice on safety, quality and appropriate appliances, fuel, and maintenance.
